"Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore"... how true? Some would agree, some wouldn't.
Why? It's a matter of perspective.
Giving up something for another. When your hands are full, the only way to gain another is by putting down what you had on hand.
"Losing sight of the shore" probably meant leaving the "comfort zone" where you feel secure and comfortable, and venture into new "untapped" areas where nothing is certain.
A typical example, changing jobs or rather changing career path. In both situations, changing jobs means changing to a new environment...what is certain? Your job scope. The management, staff n colleagues, working habits, everything is changed. Changing career path would mean an even bigger change...
Why would anyone wants to give up something that he already has? It's like someone at the bottom of the mountain... you wouldn't know how beautiful the scenery is at the mid of the mountain. Giving up the security at the bottom, moving up to the mid...lots of uncertainties... but will be worth while when you see the view.
However, if you are willing to give up the view at the mid, start moving upwards, you'll be able to see the breath-taking view at the peak.
Is it worth it? Of course it's worth it! You'll see and feel what others can only imagine.
So, would you dare move into uncharted waters and discover the "New" you?

我有勇气爬高山,不知为何就是没有勇气爬自己心中的那座高山~不说下水了,我不会游泳!><哈哈。。。
